El Segundo-based AWR, a developer of electronic design automation software, has acquired a Wisconsin firm developing RF and microwave simulation software, the company disclosed this morning. The firm said STAAR's software is being used for analyzing EM fields in monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs).

EL Segundo-based AWR Corporation , a provider of electronic design automation (EDA) software, has been acquired by National Instruments , NI said today. AWR's software is used for designing RF and high frequency components and systems, for the semiconductor, aerospace, test equipment, and communications markets.
