Los Angeles-based SocialAnnex , a startup helping online retailers to use social media to spur sales, has scored a round of funding from a who's who of Southern California technology angels, the firm said Tuesday. According to SocialAnnex, Kamran Pourzanjani of PriceGrabber.com, Brian S. Social Annex was founded in 2010.

Proving that the market for the right domain name continues to be strong, Moniker and SnapNames , the domain name auction sites owned by Los Angeles-based Oversee.net , reported that they sold the domain Data.com for more than $1.5M Oversee.net said its total private sales from the aftermarket division was more than $11M.

Don't look for Bargain.com , which is one of the domain names being auctioned off at the Moniker domain name auction at next week's DomainFest , the domain name conference spearheaded by Los Angeles domain firm Oversee.net. The highest domain name sale on record looks to be around $13.0M, for the site Sex.com, sold in 2010.
