San Diego-based Nirvanix , the cloud storage service operator, has snagged the current CIO of Zynga as its new CEO, according to the company Monday. Debra Chrapaty, who formerly was CIO of Zynga, also served at Cisco as SVP of its Collaboration Software Group, in addition to working at Microsoft and E*TRADE Technologies.

Irvine-based security software developer CrowdStrike announced this morning that it has named Colin Black as its new Chief Information Officer. Black was previously CIO of Kratos Defense and Security, and also had served at Cymer and Mindspeed Technologies. CrowdStrike said Black will focus on infrastructure expansion of its platform.

San Diego-based IntraStage , a developer of quality management software for companies who design and manufacture electronic products, including statistical process control (SPC) and other testing and data analytics tools, has raised a round of angel funding. According to the firm, it raised a Series A investment led by the Tech Coast Angels.

Los Angeles-based Saviynt , a venture backed developer of cybersecurity software for the hybrid cloud, said on Tuesday that it has added Jim DuBois, the former CIO of Microsoft, to its board of advisors.
