Chatsworth-based DataDirect Networks (DDN), which develops data storage equipment and software, has acquired the Lustre File System business from Intel , according to DDN late Sunday evening. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. DDN said the acquisition included both Intel's Lustre File Systems business and related assets.
Chatsworth-based data storage provider DDN reported this morning that it has been selected by a Korean customer, NAVER Corporation, which will use its products for a number of AI services and research projects. NAVER is the owner of the popular LINE messaging service.
Chatsworth-based DDN, which develops high performance computing storage and artificial intelligence and data management software, says it had record breaking annual revenues of $400M and "highest ever profitability" in 2020. The company said it saw 52 percent revenue growth from 2018 to 2020. DDN is led by CEO and co-founder Alex Bouzari.
DDN said the deal will focus on providing infrastructure for Artificial Intelligence as a Service (AIaaS) for CSIR-CEERI customers. Chatsworth-based data storage hardware developer DDN, which develops data storage for the high performance computing market, is taking aim at the artificial intelligence (AI) area. DDN said the new lab will be used by customers and partners to build "AI-led solutions at scale". Financial details of the link were not announced.
Aliso Viejo-based QLogic said earlier this week that it has certified the firm's InfiniBand adapters and switches with Chatsworth-based DataDirect 's S2A InfiniBand storage arrays. The firms said the certification is aimed at customer in the high performance computing (HPC) market.
Chatsworth-based Cal Net Technology Group , a provider of IT support services, has acquired Orange County-based b> inhouseIT , according to Cal Net Technology's investors, including Boathouse Capital and Olympic Valley Capital. Cal Net Technology Group had quietly announced the deal to its customers at the end of July.
Chatsworth-based DDN IntelliFlash Enterprise Storage business unit from Western Digital , the company said on Thursday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to the two, the acquisition is part of a larger, strategic partnership with Western Digital, which also includes a mutual global strategic sourcing agreement.
DDN--which has major operations in Chatsworth, but calls Santa Clara its headquarters--said it paid $60M for Tintri. DDN said that, as a result of the acquisition, it will restart the service and support for Tintri's customer base, and plans to enhance Tintri's product roadmap within the next 90 days.
