Tech Coast Angel investor Dale Okuno came out because he believes that MuckerLab attracts better talent because they keep their class size small and focused. And build great business they have.

The TechCrunch team was judicious in its determination of qualifiers, insisting that the accelerators be, “fixed-term, cohort-based, with educational and mentorship components, culminating in a public pitch or demo day.” Bringing an accelerators’ graduates back as mentors provides value to the next class, certainly.

We need to take some risks in education and in innovation in this country so anybody that it trying to break through the traditional mold and try to create a new model ought to be lauded, not attacked. Suddenly everybody wants to be an incubator. The value of a college education.

I don’t believe you can hire great business people who outsource the development to a hot incubator who builds you code to match your ambitions. I also tell people that if they do go to make sure that they don’t spend all of their free time trying to graduate top of their class. Would you gain more from that than an MBA?
