The move has not yet been announced by either group--however, Maverick Angels has been advertising an event about the "launch of our new company" in March, implying some big changes for the angel group. In recent years, the Maverick Angels had mostly been focused on running coaching programs and seminars for entrepreneurs.

I believe it’s because too many entrepreneurs and leaders are so self-centered that they really don’t see what impact their actions have on others. These people may appreciate having a job in these tough economic times, but they won’t be motivated to take any risk, or lead your company through the competitive minefield.

We also want to create more capital for women entrepreneurs to increase the chances of being funded and connected to a bigger network. Entrepreneurs are everywhere and capital isn’t. At the same time, I am committed to creating more capital for women entrepreneurs because they tend to not have easy access to capital and other people.
