Chartbeat is a relatively young company and product. I’m only writing about the product because I’m passionate about it. I was recently over at the Mahalo offices in Santa Monica and I noticed that they had a great big screen TV with Chartbeat displaying their traffic data. Basically, it rocks!

We caught up with Jason and Kurt to hear more about the company. What's the story behind the company and how it started? I am someone who likes to interact with my Representatives and Senators, by way of writing letters, emailing, and what not. It's really helpful, particularly for companies who don't get social media.

I know many of their founders and early employees, and one of the co-founders of Intermix (the parent company of MySpace) is an investor. This could also be done by leveraging a partnership (or buyout) of a site like Mahalo. I’m not friends with most of the people that are connected to me on social networks.
