Hawthorne-based SpaceX confirmed a $850M fundraising in a regulatory filing on Tuesday, in an equity funding round which included 69 investors. The round reportedly values the company at $74 billion. The fundraising had been rumored to have been in process for the last month or so.

Hawthorne, California-based rocket and spacecraft developer SpaceX has just closed a Series N funding round, according to investor Legendary Ventures, which invested in the round. The investment firm's General Partner is Jayson Kim. A report in August said SpaceX was raising $1.9 billion in new funding, at a valuation of $46 billion.
