The topic is: Betting Your Company On An Internet Platform? However, these platforms could be interesting for prototype and pilot solutions. The other conclusion was that you need to have a migration path from the platform. Must design your application differently to live on top of the platform. It's funny.

One of the biggest forces that has emerged in the Internet in recent years has been crowdsourcing, the way the web has empowered users to drive the creation of content and information online. It's a very flexible, open platform, and is pretty open ended. Right now, we are running targeted ads using ad networks or whatnot.

Much of the effort in the past year has been focused on improving the toolset, allowing contributors to create their own test and development environment with less effort and to optionally focus on just the frameworks or platforms of interest to them. Authors Note: Were using the word "framework" loosely to refer to platforms, micro-frameworks, and full-stack frameworks. Netty , Vert.x , and Java servlets are fast, but we were surprised how much faster they are than Ruby , Django , and friends. In third place is plain Java Servlets running on Cauchos Resin Servlet container.
