What is it about the content delivery network market which has enabled Santa Monica-based EdgeCast to go from startup to over $100M in revenues in only a few, short years? The Internet doesn't work right, and is broken, and without a CDN, you can't do what you need to do if you're the CTO of a large website.

They have partnered with Cross Campus to bring education and offline matchmaking events to Santa Monica quarterly. They took the “Match.com for entrepreneurs” model literally and hired the former CTO of Match.com to create the algorithms to help predict and recommend matches.

Last week, Santa Monica-based Revolution Prep announced its first, institutional round of funding, worth $15M, from Kennet Partners. It might not be problems in geometry, it might be because students can't add fractions in algebra. The company provides SAT, ACT, and other similar test preparation courses and related software.
