It wasn’t so many years ago that starting a new e-commerce business on the Internet was a complex custom development project, usually costing a million dollars or more. Gone are the days of required $50K computer servers onsite, with big software license fees up-front. Use the cloud and subscriptions for computing technology.

He was a life-long entrepreneur and the first business he created out of college (actually, he founded it while he was at Caltech) was a company that manufactured high quality audio speakers. Bill had previously created a packaged software company called Knowledge Adventure the produced children’s educational software.

I originally conceived it as the Top 11 things that I believe “all entrepreneurs need to succeed.&# If it stuck to this theme then I would stand by my top 11. It isn’t a “must&# for me but it’s certainly a huge positive when entrepreneurs have it. Are you launching a mobile application? Another example.

" One was an enterprise software product. Would it take more work to sell the enterprise product than they could make on it?
