You will not fundamentally change consumers media consumption habits. You need to segment your audience and find a way to get your highest quality customers over to O&O (owned & operated) inventory where you can get higher CPMs, sell merchandise and capture more customer information. PIM based on Java that would be up-to-date on all your devices. Server and client in Java. Java as a platform wasn't ready to deliver on client side. Some other points - LAMP,Net, Java - doesn't make much difference. Benefit of a proprietary platform can be finding customers. I would tend to agree.
