I see no reason not to balance these frustrations with the satisfaction of more conventional work accomplishments and the people relationships we all need to thrive. Most entrepreneurs don’t get the satisfaction of a salary for the first couple of years, even if their startup is well funded by investors.

A “downer” is defined here as someone who seems to dwell on the negatives of every business challenge, and loves to highlight bad news or potential problems. Ask a mentor for support. Choose a friend or mentor (not your spouse) whom you trust to tell you the truth, and ask for help. If you are a downer, find a new place to work.
