They know everything about startups and know every VC contact in the world. You have Demand Media here. But nothing fancy, probably just an app that is wrapped in HTML 5. Whereas you have a lot of people who are creating startups in industries they are unfamiliar with. But they don’t understand the industry. I’m the opposite.

The Internet and World Wide Web themselves emerged from open protocols (HTTP, HTML, SMTP, etc) that allowed businesses, individuals and governments to put information online that was accessible to the masses and then to build applications on top of this infrastructure to the benefit of the masses.
