There's a screen that we throw a product at you, an image of that product, which lets you "hip it" -- similar to a favorite or like -- or "skip it". It might be you're a designer for a product line who lives in New Jersey, and might not necessarily have a shop, but with this marketplace you can interact with the customer.

We now have two person teams reaching out to applicant companies, after we do an early screening, weeding out those companies with no change of getting funding from our group. Terry Kay: The main thing that entrepreneurs will be excited about, is we now have a streamlined process when they are submitting an application.

Friday evening, August 19th, rolled around and Startup Weekend LA was underway with attendees showing up at Coloft in Santa Monica around 6:00 pm and the classic Idealab keg there to quench everyone’s thirst. Also of note was Ryan Orrico’s launch of HandJob, a new form of job applicant screening and referral tracking.
