We thought we'd talk with Chris about what Jetpack is up to. Chris Tragos: Jetpack is an ad platform, which I would describe as the most beautiful, best engaging, and most performant ad product for desktop, mobile, and tablet. Our business is helping those guys make more money, through our better ad product.

He’s right about this. He argues for a world he calls POSO (post social) in which we will only use social applications which drastically cut down our time involvement and/or increase our productivity. But only temporarily in my view. My views are just a data point in the debate. Sound familiar? It was a terrible user experience.

Find A Concept You Are Passionate About. Mark admitted that one of the mistakes he made early in his career was pursuing a business concept about which he was not passionate. Mark encourages emerging entrepreneurs to be bold, yet he admits that with his first startup, he boldly pushed PR before the product was ready. Start Lean.

Component design – computers need computer chips in order to compute, and computer chips have to be designed by someone. Component production – someone needs to manufacture all of those components. Device design – all of the major computing components – CPU, RAM, connectivity, display, battery, etc.
