Los Angeles-based software developer CapLinked , which develops secure document sharing software for the business market, has linked with secure identification software developer Civic , the two companies said this week. According to the two, Civic will enable secure login and sign on functionality for CapLinked's data management and information sharing platform.

HyreCar Set for $14.5 Million IPO

HyreCar Inc., a peer-to-peer car sharing company based in Los Angeles, filed June 8 an amended prospectus for an initial public offering that could raise as much as $14.5 million for the company. The company did not set a date for the offering, but said it will list on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol HYRE.

Bird To Face Competition From Uber, Lyft In San Francisco

According to The Verge, both companies have applied for electric scooters in San Francisco, and are hoping to operate electric scooters there.
