El Segundo-based VoiceVault , a developer of biometrics technology, said this week that it has released a new software development kit to help developers add voice biometrics on their mobile apps. Pricing on the product was not announced.

Hopscotch, led by Laurence Sotsky , has built software which enables sports teams, venues, and others to rapidly create mobile apps for their fans.

Agoura Hills-based THQ and El Segundo-based toy maker Mattel said this morning that the two are in a new, multi-year alliance focused on developing and publishing video games based on Mattel's toys. FInancial details of the arrangement were not disclosed.
