Tipalti , a startup with offices in Agoura Hills, said it has launched a new platform which automates the entire, accounts payable workflow for businesses. Tipalti's offices are split between Agoura and Palo Alto. The company said its cloud-based product helps companies handle invoice collection and approval, plus also managed supplier payment operations, tax compliance, global payment remittance, and payment reconciliation with ERP systems.

Aligned TeleHealth Gets Angel Funding

Agoura Hills-based Aligned TeleHealth , a provider of telemedicine services and technology, said today that it has raised a round of private financing from two individuals. Size of the funding was not announced. The company said the funding came from Deepak Chopra, the CEO and founder of OSI Systems, and Hector Sulaiman, CEO of Controles Graficos. Both join the company''s board of advisors. Aligned Telehealth is led by Nitin Nanda.

The company said it is transitioning Warhammer 40,00 from a massively multiplayer, online game to a new, immersive single player and online "multiplayer experience". As a result of the moves, the firm said it is chopping its staff.

TouchCommerce Gets Major Win At AT&T

AT&T said this week that it had replaced its 10-year old, third party chat platform with TouchCommerce , as a part of an effort to deliver better service. AT&T said it migrated to TouchCommerce in only 60 days, in an effort it said saved the company $16.5 million in fees.

StartEngine Raises $5M For New Crowdfunding Effort

Los Angeles-based StartEngine has raised $5M in funding, according to the company, from SE Agoura Investment LLC (Aubrey Chernick). StartEngine, the onetime startup accelerator, has remade itself as an online, equity crowdfunding site, helping companies to raise money via crowdfunding. Chernick is the former founder of software company Candle Corporation, which he sold to IBM back in 2004. StartEngine is led by Ron Miller and Howard Marks, and got its start as a startup accelerator.

THQ Sells ValueSoft Division To Cosmi Software

Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed. ValueSoft, which is based in Chaska, Minnesota, distributes value priced PC games.
