La Jolla-based NeuroVigil , a firm developing non-invasive wireless brain recording technology and advanced computational analysis techniques, has raised a first round of funding, the firm said this week. Amount of the funding, and source, was not disclosed. The firm was founded by Dr. Philip Low.
Costa Mesa-based Lumexis , a developer of in-flight entertainment and broadband connectivity systems, announced late Monday that it has scored $15M in a private equity funding from Perseus LLC.
Size of the funding was not disclosed. According to the company, the round was led by Howard Morgan, and also included Elon Musk, Tim Draper, and Draper Fisher Jurvetson and ZoneVentures. The company raised its seed funding round in 2008 as part of the DFJ Venture Challenge. READ MORE>>.
The firm was venture backed by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, DoCoMo Capital, LG Innotek, ZoneVentures, Scale Venture Partners, Qualcomm Ventures, Motorola, Micron, Portage Ventures, and SunAmerica; the firm had raised over $65M in funding over its lifetime.
Qualcomm, Motorola, Micron Technology, along with investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Portage Venture Partners, ZoneVentures, Scales Venture Partners, and SunAmerica. The firm has raised more than $61M in venturefunding since 2003, and last raised a funding round in November of 2008 lead by DOCOMO.
