However, Egg Baby--the title from newly funded Nix Hydra (www.nixhydra.com)--seems to have cracked the code for how to get new, young, female consumers to become game players. So, we started to learn some basic HTML and ActionScript, and put together a prototype, which helped us raise our first round of angel funding.

There's been a huge debate over the future of Adobe's Flash raging over the last month, as both Google and Mozilla disabled Flash due to security holes and other issues. What that means, is the banner is no longer Flash, but it slcearly HTML-based, and video based. HTML will get you modern browsers, but won't work on old browsers.

Good idea & plan: You must start with a good idea and a PowerPoint deck (my outline is here , scroll down mid way). I’m a software guy so I’m sure there are cases where building isn’t feasible. The pure delays due to admin if I would have had 3-4 pig farmers would have killed me. I get that.

Those crappy bots not only cost you money because they keep your server busy and increase your bandwidth bill, they actively decrease your advertising revenue because your visitors hit the back button when your page isn’t responsive due to the heavy bot traffic. Twitter was such a great idea with so much promise. Sad but true.
