Los Angeles-based Oversee.net has acquired Pasadena-based Crashworks , the developer of the photo-based city guides. The company was founded by Erick Laubach, and was backed by Idealab, which had invested in the company back in February of last year. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed.

Lawrence Ng , the co-founder of Oversee.net, said this morning that it has launched a new, startup fund called the OnRamp Fund , a $10M, international incubation fund that invests in early stage startups. The company said one of its first investments is bridal retailer SimplyBridal.

Lee of Legalzoom.com and ShoeDazzle, Jody Mulkey of Shopzilla, and Lawrence Ng of Oversee.net have all invested in the site. Financial details of the investment were not disclosed. According to SocialAnnex, Kamran Pourzanjani of PriceGrabber.com, Brian S. Social Annex was founded in 2010.

He also has served at investment firm Summit Partners, Mercer Management Consulting and the Bridgespan Group. Lawrence Ng , the former founder of Oversee.net--who is now running an asset management company called LNG Management--has linked up with New York City-based venture capital firm Metamorphic Ventures. LNG said that Ng is incubating a number of startups and selectively invests in early stage startups and funds.
