Michael Jones , CEO of MySpace and former founder of Userplane, has another exit under his belt today, as AOL announced it has acquired Thing Labs , a San Francisco maker of web-based, social software. AOL said it expects to integrate aspects of Brizzly into its Lifestream product, and instant messaging service AIM.

News Corporation said a few minutes ago that it has added two new executives at MySpace , and is tapping Tsavo Media's Michael Jones as Chief Operating Officer and Sling Media's Jason Hirschhorn as Chief Product Officer. I think we will see the rise of a newer and larger mobile-focused media companies and the continued evolution in traditional television entertainment.
