Aerovironment Selected By Nissan For Electric Vehicle Charging

Monrovia-based Aerovironment has been selected by auto maker Nissan to supply and install electric vehicle home charging stations, Nissan said today. Nissan said that Aerovironment will provide a nationwide network of electricians to offer pre-installation home assessment services and installation of charging stations for the LEAF.

Monrovia, California-based Green Dot , the prepaid debit card provider headed by Steve Streit, said this morning that it has acquired Silicon Valley mobile social networking firm Loopt. Green Dot said it will pay $43.4M in cash for Loopt, which will become its Silicon Valley hub for its mobile technology and product development team.
