Lead investors and follow investors can both win equally but in each case you know why you personally are writing the check. MySpace may not have been as successful as Facebook in the end but the executives there learned how to deal with user growth at scale. Basically, I’m talking about being an angel leader and not follower.

In my opinion it’s the most natural fit and it would give Netflix a very strong presence in Los Angeles and in TV (obviously subject to getting the right writes from the studios). When Fox first hired its triumvirate of CEO’s to run MySpace after the founders’ departure, I argued the same.

Before I start writing this review, I want to say how much I appreciate the web series' nominated for Streamy Awards. If it wasn't obvious enough in the press room, one needed only to look at the half-empty mezzanine which was nearly full at the beginning. Best Writing for a Comedy Web Series: Wainy Days (David Wain).

A key deal not only helps you raise venture capital but it can help attract employees, garner press attention, help with product focus & importantly drive customer adoption and/or revenue. This is important both to maintain a consistent user experience (think the cleanliness of Facebook UI versus that of MySpace where users controlled the UI more) as well as to have advertising be an important part of their economic future. Most wont write stuff publicly because they fear retribution. Let’s look again at Adly.
