Being that the theme of the night was community, it was perfect that the event was held at CoLoft , a workspace in Santa Monica that focuses on start up entrepreneurs. Noah has what I believe he called “Thank You metrics”. I was fortunate enough to meet the founders of CoLoft, Cameron and Avesta , before they had opened. I resisted.

” I mention journalists here because they perpetuate the myth that focusing on profits is ALWAYS the right answer and then I hear many entrepreneurs (and certainly many “normals”) repeating the same mantra. I have had this discussion with many a first-time entrepreneur. It allows you many more exit opportunities.

Founded in the summer of 2011 and their first product out a few weeks ago amSTATS wants to help users to follow fitness events and programs near them and find a great fitness trainer to help them stay fit. David Cohen from TechStars, someone I look up to as an entrepreneur, says that they don’t invest in ideas, but teams.
