Although Los Angeles has become a hub for the high tech startup world, Surprisingly, one of the things which hasn't happened in the Los Angeles area is any huge, successful venture acceleration programs. And then, in 2003 I retired, and I became an angel investor. That was five or six years ago, 2005 or so.

One of the most frequent questions from high tech startups is: where''s my exit? It continues to be somewhat surprising to me to see the number of angels who have been entering this space. There have been a lot of new angel investors coming out of the woodwork, and lots of companies getting pretty good funding and valuation.
