This argument is actually not attacking the idea, but shows a generalized resistance to change. Your idea has unpredictable negative side effects.

According to a recent article on Thrinacia , there are now aver 600 crowdfunding platforms in existence, currently estimated to add more than $89 billion to the economy at a compound growth rate of 17% from 2019 to 2022. The crowd gets the satisfaction of helping, with minimal risk, and no expectation of any high return.
