Microsoft in late June announced to have acquired social network for enterprises Yammer at $ 1.2 According to the Jared Spataro Senior Director, Office Division, Microsoft in a blog post the firm had met all the requirements regarding the acquisition. Yammer was launched in 2008 and raised $142 million then.

A typical day starts with email, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Yammer checks/updates. Sometimes I make a blog entry. It’s a fun company, but customer acquisition is the biggest challenge we face. Tweetdeck and Yammer are always running in the background. Met a guy you might know named Lewis Howes, who sat on a social media panel and gave some great info. We need to tie our tweets, FB posts and emails into a blog.
