Burbank-based Be Jane , the angel funded, online home improvement site focused on women, told its users that it has sold the web site to an undisclosed buyer, according to reports. The site had seen some turmoil after the founders of the firm departed, and investors installed their own management last year.

Burbank-based Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group said this morning that it is acquiring Flixster , the movie site which also runs Rotten Tomatoes. According to Warner, both sites will continue to operate independently. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Burbank-based Disney said this morning that it has acquired Babble Media, Inc. , an online site features over 200 "mom bloggers". Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Disney said that Babble will become part of the Disney Interactive Media Group, and provide an online resource for moms and fmailies.
