Over the last few months, Santa Monica-based Clearstone Ventures (www.clearstone.com) has had a number of high profile exits in its portfolio. It's not meaningful for the venture industry as a whole, because if you're investing in Series B, C, or D round investments, these are not meaningful. It's not a revenue multiple sale.

The investment included $5M in equity funding from Clearstone Venture Partners, Mayfield Fund, and IDG Ventures Asia, and also included $8M in debt from Silicon Valley Bank. Rubicon said that the Series B follow-on funding will go twards strategic acquisitions, research and development, international expansion, and infrastructure.
