I started the series talking about what I consider the most important attribute of an entrepreneur : Tenacity. I agree with every part of the article, but I was hoping for some discussion about inspiration in the idealism/activism sense, and less the charisma sense. My favorite example is Jason Nazar , the CEO of DocStoc.

Los Angeles-based Crosscut Ventures (www.crosscutventures.com) is one of the newest venture capital funds in the area, and has quietly been working on funding local companies over the last year. The fund--started by Brian Garrett and Rick Smith --has been focused on digital media investments, and so far has made investments in six companies.

My first job out of school was at one of the early bioinformatics companies in Silicon Valley, working as the head of technical services. There is a reason that companies like Google and Apple are notoriously tight-lipped when it comes to communicating their product strategy and roadmap. Graduated with a BS/MS in bio from Stanford.)
