Just the kind of person I like to meet. :) But I was a bit surprised when he emphasized how hard it had been for them to find a web developer in Los Angeles. My flippant comment was, “If you do a Google search for Los Angeles web developer, you’ll find a LOT of people and firms.” And he’s right there’s a big difference.

We were not making a gambling site, but using those to prove your knowledge, using fantasy currency to show your confidence in your picks. We built a social network around that, with activity feeds and stuff like that, and which allows you to share activity through the leagues, Twitter, and Facebook. It's all completely fun.

"I'm looking for a partner / cofounder who can not only head the technical aspects and build a working model of the site, but someone with the connections to put a great development team together when we need it. Sites - There are a bunch of sites out there aimed at this or similar issues.

I have talked with people in the industry who tell me that mobile movie sites convert ticket sales much higher than desktop websites. BUT … I’ve talked to a number of eCommerce sites that also report much higher conversion rates than standard web. Thus I endorse Web Second. They are limited in size.

And it’s not just me, Ben Kuo just posted - Good news for developers (and jobs) We’ve been talking with a lot (and I mean a LOT) of people who are looking for developers in Southern California (Los Angeles and beyond). in terms of the activity, with not only jobs aplenty, but offers and counter-offers hitting good talent.

I personally believe that there are lots and lots of good developers working inside of organizations who would love to work on the interesting projects that we work on all the time, yet they arent out actively looking, so its almost impossible to find them. He has twenty years’ experience as a CTO.
