Integrien Acquired By VMware

Irvine-based Integrien , a developer of enterprise IT monitoring software, has been acquired by VMware , according to VMware this morning. The acquisition was a big win for Southern California's investors, particularly from Clearstone Venture Partners and the Tech Coast Angels. Clearstone owned about half of the firm.

Southern California's top startups showed up in force Friday at the Westin South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, for the Technology Council of Southern California's annual VentureNet conference. David Sacks, one of the co-founders of PayPal, pitched Geni.com, an online site focused on both family trees and social networking.
