Los Angeles-based Stickam , a provider of live streaming services and a related online community, announced Monday that the firm is now providing support for streaming live video to Java-enabled mobile devices. The company explained that phones supported by the new software include the T-Mobile G1, BlackBerry, and other platforms.

Application performance can be directly mapped to hosting dollars, and for a start-up company in its infancy, hosting costs can be a pain point. Java / JVM. It was just a matter of process to add iOS, and later, Android to the output, and start designing games for the larger screens, later bringing those games down to run on BREW and Java after that.
