Programming should be the middle class job of the next 20 years. And I’ve offered to actually teach some classes in recruiting for tech professionals.

For readers, LaunchpadLA is all about? We got over 400 applications for the ten slots we had open in this class, and we picked ten amazing companies. So far, eight of the ten companies in our current class have raised outside funding, and we're really happy with how it's gone so far. We're really excited for the next steps.

Music Prodigy in June was the only finalist from Los Angeles in a competition that featured over 30 finalists from around the world and was named the Judge’s Winner and Audience Winner at the Silicon Valley hosted competition organized by business accelerator Plug and Play Technology Center. Winning Not By Sheer Luck.

The innocuous post, which was simply titled " Divshot " generated over 110 comments and was awarded nearly 200 points by Hacker News' notoriously jaded readers. The team subsequently earned a coveted position in Launchpad LA's current accelerator class after winning the Crowdstart LA competition.

I suspect Mr. Wadhwa used hyperbole in his TechCrunch blog post to get more readers to look at his work. But I’m opposed to using data to “prove&# unprovable facts because I know that readers are often susceptible to this kind of data manipulation. You’re not born into being a world-class software developer.
