I acted as the occasional mentor, advisor and coach to Ethan. When Ethan was considering leaving Google we talked about it. He was seeking $500k.

Meredith came to see me along with the CTO Marc Berte. Was there consumer demand? The more we dug the more confident we became (and so did every advisor we used). It turns out that while she had the right idea the materials needed some reworking to come in at the cost structure required to build a business at scale.

There's a gigantic need for the demand side of the marketplace. There's a giant need in the supply side to be able to go out to a web site, put your corporate profile down, and have a very efficient system for matching both the demand and supply side, matching the intern and the job at a local and geographic level.

When our Youtube views are driven up, that drives more licensing demand for the video, with other shows interested. We have 25 ideas on ways to publish or package that content, and put it into clip shows on television or other formats. I began as an advisor, and then started spending a week, then two, then three.

The idea is that the app uses the onboard microphone, reads the movie at any point the movie is playing using acoustic finger printing and audio recognition. Has this sort of idea been around and was it not executed because of some sort of a technical issue? We also have Chris Cookson as a technical advisor. Entertainment.
