To help fix that, the startup has created a mobile app to guide people through their strengths, interests, key skills, and more to guide them along the way to a career they'll love. Since then, I have worked extensively with mentoring youth, and helping them figure out what's possible in terms of careers. How did this start?

In what has been an unprecedented surge in interest in helping entrepreneurs, there have been more than a half dozen accelerators--most patterned after the successful YCombinator and TechStars programs elsewhere in the country--established in Southern California in the last month or so. I was just judging the USC gaming hackathon.

Scott Ferreira: MySocialCloud helps user manage their online life, through three tools. By the end of my sophomore year, I decided to go after this full time, and that's when I officially brought on a CTO, Shiv Prakash, and we went at it in the summer of 2011, and the rest is kind of history. Both have been great mentors ever since.
