Residential solar installation company Sunrun , which is based in San Francisco, said on Wednesday that it is opening up a new solar design engineering center in Irvine, where it expects to hire at least 50. Sunrun said the Irvine facility will be used as part of its process of designing residential solar power systems for its customers.
