In what looks like a continuing consolidation for the out-of-home media industry, Los Angeles-based Channel M has been acquired by PlayNetwork. Channel M is a producer of content for in-store TV networks; PlayNetwork is a developer and distributor of entertainment to retails. The firm will continue to maintain offices in Sherman Oaks.

Sherman Oaks-based GoTV Networks, a venture-backed developer of mobile new media, said this week that it has inked three partnerships with mobile advertising firms. According to GoTV Networks, it has teamed with Millennial Media, digital SIDEBAR and Ad Infuse to provide mobile ads alongside its content.
