Shell’s first electric vehicle fast charger lands in Singapore

Royal Dutch Shell, the energy giant known for its fossil fuel production and hundreds of Shell gas stations, is creeping into the electric vehicle-power business. The company’s first DC fast charger launched Monday at a Shell gas station in Singapore. Greenlots, an EV charging startup acquired by Shell in January, installed the charger. This is the first of 10 DC fast chargers that Greenlots plans to bring to Shell service stations in Singapore over the next several months.

Men’s personal care startup Huron raises $1M

Huron founder and CEO Matt Mullenax is hoping to build a big business around body wash. “For us, the broader mission is A+ personal care for guys everywhere — not just guys in New York or guys in the Bay Area or guys in Los Angeles,” he said. The startup has raised $1 million in seed funding from RXBAR founders Peter Rahal and Jared Smith, CXT Investments, and Lean Luxe founder M. Paul Munford.

Los Angeles-based private equity investor OpenGate Capital announced this morning that it has acquired Chicago-based InRule Technology , a developer of decision management and business rules management software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to OpenGate Capital, it obtained a majority interest in InRule, the fifth investment through its second institutional fund.

Rocket Lab Places More Small Satellites Into Space


Huntington Beach-based Rocket Lab successfully launched a new set of satellites into space early on Monday morning, in the "Look Ma No Hands" launch. According to Rocket Lab, the mission carried satellites for UNSEENLABS, and a new set of rideshare payloads from Spaceflight, including spacecraft for the BlackSky and United States Air Force Space Command. The four-satellite rocket launch lifted off from New Zealand successfully on Monday morning.
