Electric vehicle charging software EV Connect raises $12 million

EV Connect , the Los Angeles-based company that sells software to manage electric vehicle charging, has raised $12 million in a Series B round led by investors Mitsui & Co. and Ecosystem Integrity Fund. The company has raised $25 million to date. EV Connect’s cloud-based platform has an open standard architecture that is designed to be hardware agnostic.

ENGIE US Wind Signs Deal With Walmart

Santa Barbara-based ENGIE US Wind , the U.S. arm of energy developer ENGIE, reports that it has signed a new, 366 megawatt wind power deal with Walmart , spanning multiple U.S. energy markets. Financial impact o the win were not announced. According to ENGIE, the deal includes two virtual renewable power purchase agreements (VPAAs) which will go towards building the 366 MW of wind projects across the U.S., part of an effort by Walmart to power 50 percent of its operations with renewable energy b
