Costa Mesa-based artificial intelligence software developer Veritone said late Wednesday that it has acquired the software and intellectual property of Atigeo Corporation. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Atigeo said it acquired the software plus 60 issued and pending patents covering various aspects of Atigeo's data science technology.

GumGum Passes $100M In Annual Revenues Mark

Santa Monica-based GumGum , which is using computer vision in the programmatic advertising market, sports, and social media, said today that it has just passed up the $100M in revenues mark. The company, led by CEO Ophir Tanz, said those revenues represent 53 percent year-over-year growth for the privately held firm. GumGum said its revenues in 2016 were $72M, and it expects to have revenues of nearly $110M in 2017.
