We recently sat down with Luc Berlin, co-founder of Miigle, a SoCal startup that has an aggressive global mission to bring entrepreneurs together from around the world. Southern California has had its share of new startup accelerators launch in the last few months, however, few people here have actually experienced an accelerator firsthand. However Gmail is only private email conversations. We had to figure out what would help the other 90 percent build better and more interesting sites.

I acted as the occasional mentor, advisor and coach to Ethan. Ethan had pointed out to me that merchants were being barraged by “deal site” wanting to drive customers in the door but they didn’t have great tools to manage their customers. So there you have it. The company was called Red Beacon.
