Angel investing group the Tech Coast Angels has officially announced its new investment fund, the ACE Fund , as the group has begun to broaden out its investments strategy. No details on the size of the fund was announced, however, the group has earlier said it has targeted the fund at around $5-6M.
Monrovia-based Ondax , a developer of optical filters and laser sources based on research out of the California Institute of Technology, has raised $2M in a Series E investment. According to the Pasadena Angels, one of the investors in the firm, the round also included the Tech Coast Angels and un-named venturecapital firms.

Monrovia-based Covisus, a developer of supply chain tracking products, said this week that it has raised a Series A funding. Size of the funding was not announced. The funding came from Hale Capital Partners.
Monrovia-based biotechnology developer Xencor has launched a public offering of its common stock, with the aim of raising approximately $110M in funding, the company said on Wednesday. The publicly traded biotechnology developer--which trades on the NASDAQ as XNCR--said it has priced the offering at $24.000 per share.
