Quibi To Give Up Mobile Video Technology After Lawsuit

Quibi, the short-lived, short-form-mobile-video startup run by Jeffrey Katzenberg, is transferring its mobile video technology to another company, Eko, after Eko filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Quibi. Variety says that no money is changing hands between the two companies.

Apparently, Eko has accused Quibi of infringing on a patent. The legal move comes ahead of any formal patent infringement lawsuit from Interlude US Inc. Quibi is asking the court to declare that it has not infringed upon Eko's patent.
