A recently released study by TechAmerica, an advocacy group for the high tech industry, finds that Los Angeles ranks sixth among the top 60 cities in the United States for high tech employment. Los Angeles had 169,974 workers in the high tech industry. Orange County had 76.74 high tech jobs per 1000.

Los Angeles-based Howloud (www.howloud.net) has figured out how to apply computer algorithms--combined with data on roads, airports, and businesses--to figure out a complete map of noise around real estate.
