If you are not anxious, then you are probably not pushing yourself or your startup hard enough. The inevitable pressures at a startup are not inherently negative. You will also have fewer mentors with whom you can share your gender-specific experiences. This forces them to be proactively wily – just like a startup founder.

The earlier they define their strengths and weaknesses, the sooner they can begin to leverage their attributes and shore up their shortcomings. Previously she worked for GigaOM, where she reported on startups and Silicon Valley.
