Camarillo-based Connexity , a new Internet advertising firm headed by former Fastclick CEO Dave Gross, said today that it has raised a seed funding round. Connexity said that it is integrating social networking and recommendation engine technology into its advertising technology. Amount of the round was not announced.

Next Wednesday we’ll have Dana Settle of Greycroft Partners, a New York / LA early-stage venture capital fund. SocialVibe – Social media monetization platform that benefits non-profit organizations and social causes. Users participate by performing tasks, taking surveys or watching advertiser videos.

Draw Your Ideas - A VC : Venture Capital and Technology , May 16, 2010 I saw Jack Dorsey give this talk at The 99% Conference last month. Through advertising or direct sales, these sites harvest intent. He’d wasted a year of his life and had a pile of stock options that weren’t very interesting. Tesla is not. It's a great talk.

(there’s a great story from Jonah in the video but you have to watch to hear it :)) But it’s undeniable that it has become a digital media powerhouse having raised around $500 million in capital with a valuation reported at $1.7 billion and revenues likely exceeding $250 million (Wikipedia lists 2015 revenue at $167 million).

He remarked, “It’s true that with Facebook connect all websites can immediately have access to your social graph. What we’re doing at Meebo is trying to socially enable websites by allowing them to immediately get not only the social graph information but to do useful stuff with it. Series A round.
