Back in 2006, I posted about the Promise of Web2.0 - Comparison to Macros, IDEs, and Visual Basic and pointed out that Visual Basic was a huge innovation that allowed many new developers to build applications. We've been using Google Apps as the basis for developing some very interesting online applications.
What I want to answer with this post (long though it may be) is: Why did Web2.0 Brands didn’t advertise their web pages they advertised “AOL Keywords.&# You couldn’t pick up a magazine in the 96-99 timeframe without seeing AOL Keywords advertised everywhere. Social Networking in Web 1.0:

I remember going to an Under the Radar conference in 2006 in the heat of the Web2.0 There were tons of young entrepreneurs showing their latest Web2.0 Unfortunately this was reinforced by the many conferences that rushed to espouse the benefits of Web2.0 RIP 2.0. portfolios.
